the patch, starkville

Last week I went blueberry picking with some friends at a place called The Patch. There were several free-roaming chickens to keep us company, as well as a pair of woodpeckers who kept swooping down and stealing berries. The owner told us that she has about 10 different varieties of blueberry bushes, and grows them as naturally as possible, without any spraying. And only $12 for a gallon freezer bag. Beat that, Green City Market.

Final product (with many berries left over): giant tray of blueberry cobbler bars
